The best time to visit Arunachal Pradesh is during the months of October to April, as the weather is generally pleasant during this period.

Autumn (October-November)

This is considered the best time to visit Arunachal Pradesh. The weather is cool and pleasant, with clear skies and comfortable temperatures. The landscapes are lush and green after the monsoon season, making it an ideal time for trekking and outdoor activities.

Winter (December-February)

While winters are cold, especially in higher altitudes, it is still a good time to visit, particularly for those who enjoy the chilly weather. Days are generally clear, providing excellent visibility for sightseeing, and it's an ideal time to explore cultural festivals

Spring (March-April)

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Guwahati to Bhalukpong

Embark on an incredible journey through Arunachal Pradesh with Tripsee, commencing with a warm welcome at Guwahati Airport or Station. Our representative will be ready to greet you upon your arrival, and from there, you'll be transported to Bhalukpung, a charming town in Arunachal Pradesh. Upon reaching, settle into a pre-booked hotel, where dinner and an overnight stay will be provided for your comfort.

Day 2: Bhalukpung to Dirang

Indulge in a delicious breakfast before embarking on a scenic 139 km drive to Dirang, a journey that takes approximately 5-6 hours. Along the way, make a stop at the renowned Orchid Research Centre at Tipi, showcasing thousands of orchid species found in India. If your itinerary includes Tawang via Bhalukpung, secure ILP permission at Bhalukpong Gate. Explore the tribal village of Sherdukpen, known for practicing the Mahayana sect of Buddhism. Continue the drive to Dirang, visiting the Upper Monastery in Bomdila. Upon arrival in Dirang, check into a pre-arranged hotel for a relaxing dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Dirang to Tawang

Commence day 3 early with a transfer to Tawang, covering a road distance of 128 km, requiring approximately 4-5 hours. En route, explore the Hot Water Spring in Dirang and savor a delightful breakfast. Lunch will be served during the journey. Resume the drive to Tawang, stopping at Sela Pass to capture breathtaking views of the mighty Himalayas. Visit the Jaswantgarh Museum, a war memorial honoring Jaswant Singh Rawat, an Indian Rifleman of 4 Garhwal Rifles. Upon reaching Tawang, check-in to a pre-booked hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Tawang to Bumla

Begin the day with a delectable breakfast before embarking on an expedition to Bum La, approximately 25 km from Tawang. Bum La Pass holds historical significance, being the site of a fierce battle during the 1962 Sino-Indian War. Explore the famous Madhuri Lake, initially known as Sangestar Tso Lake, renamed after the filming of the Bollywood movie "Koyla" featuring Madhuri Dixit. Return to the hotel in Tawang for a restful dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Sightseeing in Tawang

Indulge in a delicious breakfast and embark on a sightseeing tour of Tawang. Visit attractions like Gumpha Monastery, War Memorial, and the Buddhist Statue at Tawang War Memorial. In the afternoon, return to the hotel, and in the evening, experience the Light and Sound Show. Explore the local market of Tawangen route. Dinner and overnight stay will be provided at the hotel.

Day 6: Tawang to Bomdila

Commence the day with a delightful breakfast and embark on a 171 km drive to Bomdila, the headquarters of West Kameng in Arunachal Pradesh. Known for its picturesque setting with scenic views of the eastern Himalayas, Bomdila is a visual delight. Upon arrival, check into a pre-booked hotel, freshen up, and take some time to relax. In the evening, visit the Lower Gompa and Emporium Local Market in Bomdila. Return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 7: Bomdila to Tezpur

After a scrumptious breakfast, begin a 153 km drive to Tezpur, a journey that takes approximately 4-5 hours. Upon arrival, check into a pre-booked hotel in Tezpur for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 8: Departure

Sadly, it's time to bid farewell to the enchanting nature and landscapes of Arunachal Pradesh. Start your last day with a delicious breakfast, followed by a drive to your onward destination, Guwahati Airport or Station. Upon arrival, catch your flight or train back home, concluding your memorable journey with Tripsee.

Inclusions

1. Accommodation on a double sharing basis (Adults) or Triple sharing (2 Adults one kid)
2. Transport from (and to) railway station/ airport to respective hotels and homestays for all days during the trip, including all sightseeing ( if not mentioned otherwise in the exclusion list)
3. Food as per MAP package (Breakfast, Lunch/ Diner, Evening Snacks)

Exclusions

1. Transport cost, where availing local/ govt vehicles are mandatory ( e.g. Jungle safari, visiting to border locations, availing horses or mules for specific sightseeing spots etc.) in these cases the tourist has to pay on actuals as necessary
2. Extra / special food (beverages) ordered during or outside any meal under MAP package
3. Entry fees & parking fees to any sightseeing spot
4. During unforeseen natural events ( e.g. landslides, roadblocks due to snowfall, floods, cancellation of flight / railways etc.) the guest might have to pay extra amount to avail immediate and necessary services as applicable. Tripsee will provide all support to ensure guest’s safety, security and best interest during such events.
