The best time to visit Arunachal Pradesh is during the months of October to April, as the weather is generally pleasant during this period.
Autumn (October-November)
This is considered the best time to visit Arunachal Pradesh. The weather is cool and pleasant, with clear skies and comfortable temperatures. The landscapes are lush and green after the monsoon season, making it an ideal time for trekking and outdoor activities.
Winter (December-February)
While winters are cold, especially in higher altitudes, it is still a good time to visit, particularly for those who enjoy the chilly weather. Days are generally clear, providing excellent visibility for sightseeing, and it's an ideal time to explore cultural festivals.
Spring (March-April)
This period marks the beginning of the tourist season, with temperatures gradually rising. The weather is still pleasant, and the landscapes are vibrant with blooming flowers. It's a good time for outdoor activities and cultural experiences.
Keep in mind that Arunachal Pradesh is prone to heavy rainfall during the monsoon season (June- September), which can lead to landslides and difficult travel conditions. It's advisable to avoid visiting during these months if possible. Always check the current weather conditions and plan your trip accordingly.
